Personal Laptop security

It dawned on me while flying the other day, people aren't practicing safe laptop usage on airplanes. I'm sitting there with my cell phone and was able to record a passenger's keystrokes and screen capture the process of credit card and CVV info without them even knowing.

Cell phone cameras today are becoming even more powerful than before, with HDR resolution, images are clear enough that one can record and pause when needed. Not to mention laptop screen are crystal clear, with the push to 4K and high graphics details.

So how can you the user combat against this, privacy screen protectors. These are just a flim that goes over your screen and blocks people sitting to your immediate sides from seeing what you are doing. They don't impede on the user's view when directly in front of the monitor. These screens aren't overly expensive and can be purchased on Amazon or any local big box stores.

So word of advice if you don't need to work on your laptop while in a public space, don't. It can wait till you are in a more private area. If you need to, please for the love of God, practice some common sense. Protect yourself and your data. Malicious people will do whatever they can with your data and cause you headaches.
